DAW and AVRP urge long-term framework for Germany’s arcade businesses

Regulation

The German Automatenwirtschaft association and the Automaten-Verband Rheinland-Pfalz held a political event in Mainz with about 80 attendees to discuss conditions for commercial gaming machines. DAW spokesperson Georg Stecker called for enforcement against illegal gambling and changes to the Gaming Ordinance, while minister-president Gordon Schnieder said businesses need reliable conditions alongside protection for people.

The discussion signals industry pressure on state and federal policymakers over gambling-machine rules and enforcement.
