Coljuegos president Marco Emilio Hincapié said territorial lotteries and chance games transferred $2.56tn to health services in Colombia from 2022 to 2026. The 15 territorial lotteries contributed more than $1.05tn, while chance betting contributed $1.33tn, he said.
The transfer figures show the reported contribution of territorial lottery and chance revenues to health funding.

Coljuegos president Marco Emilio Hincapié met Superfinanciera superintendent César Attilio Ferrari to examine ways for authorised gambling operators to overcome barriers to banking access, Coljuegos said. The regulator proposed a specialised meeting with bank compliance officers and said the two bodies would coordinate against payment channels used by unlicensed online operators.
Coljuegos conducted six territorial training sessions in Colombia during 2026. Authorities and local participants from Chocó, Nariño, Risaralda, Huila and Meta attended, and the regulator also held a national meeting. Coljuegos said the training covered gambling legislation, inspection and oversight procedures, and measures to prevent illegal activity.
Coljuegos imposed a COP116m fine on content creator Yeferson Esteban Cossio Castaño for running an unauthorised raffle through Instagram. The regulator also barred him from operating gambling activities for five years after the administrative decision becomes final.
Reportedly, Jaime Vives Pinedo has become president of Colombia’s Coljuegos, replacing Marco Emilio Hincapié. His responsibilities include overseeing authorised operators, tackling illegal gambling and monitoring gambling revenue that funds healthcare.
Coljuegos reported results from its campaign against illegal gambling during the outgoing government of President Gustavo Petro. The regulator said 514 operations across 24 departments seized more than 12,852 items, while it ordered 58,916 website blocks and imposed 209 sanctions worth over COP 94,739 million.
