Castilla y León prioritises gambling tax checks in its 2026 control plan

Regulation

Castilla y León’s Directorate-General for Taxation and Regional Financing has set out its 2026 tax-control priorities, reportedly focusing on gambling-tax returns and the correct use of tax reliefs, reduced rates and rebates. The plan also calls for checks on operator records, electronic tax filing and payment, and information-sharing with Spain’s tax agency.

Operators in Castilla y León may face closer checks of gambling-tax declarations and a requirement to manage tax payments electronically.
