Local police in the Campodarsego area found administrative breaches at a betting shop during inspections and issued its owner with a fine of more than €1,000. Police said repeat violations could lead to the business being suspended.

Turin police and other authorities inspected 20 public venues during an operation launched on 21 September in Borgo Aurora and nearby areas. The checks resulted in administrative fines totalling more than €28,000, with reported violations including rules on gaming machines, hygiene requirements and unauthorised outdoor seating; the police said the operation would continue in the coming weeks.
Carabinieri and Italy’s ADM found six tablets linked to unauthorised online gambling platforms in a separate room at a bar in Isola di Capo Rizzuto. The authorities imposed a €60,000 administrative fine and seized the tablets and related hardware; the checks also found missing gambling-risk information and a prohibited-games notice.
Carabinieri from the Isola di Capo Rizzuto command, joined by staff of the Customs and Monopolies Agency (A.D.M.) for Calabria, ran a series of targeted inspections at public businesses, clubs and gaming rooms in the area. Following the irregularities found, an administrative penalty of 60.000,00 euro in total was imposed. According to the headline, the fine of "60mila euro" fell on the owner of a bar.
The Calabria Regional Administrative Court rejected a betting-shop owner’s request to suspend the police decision denying betting and VLT authorisations for premises in Rosarno. The court said the interim appeal lacked sufficient grounds in light of evidence about the owner’s associations, and ordered him to pay €800 to the Interior Ministry plus statutory additions. The ruling concerns interim relief, not the final challenge to the licence refusal.
The Calabria Regional Administrative Court (Tar), Reggio Calabria section, has rejected a request to suspend the police decision that denied betting and VLT authorisations for premises in Rosarno. The order, published on 5 November 2026, concerns an appeal by the owner of a sole-proprietor business against a decision of the Reggio Calabria police chief.
The Court of Appeal of Catania acquitted a betting-shop owner on 23 June 2026, overturning a first-instance conviction over alleged unauthorised betting intermediation. The court said computers, betting slips and schedules alone did not establish that the defendant collected stakes, paid winnings or transmitted bets.
Bergamo police said checks on 12 June found a betting venue in Clusone operating without the required police authorisation. Officers summoned its owner, who will be referred to judicial authorities; a Cene business was fined about €300 for not displaying mandatory information.
