California approves card-room rules taking effect on 1 April

Regulation

California’s Office of Administrative Law approved regulations for card-room blackjack-style games and player-dealer rotations, with the rules taking effect on 1 April. Card rooms must submit compliance plans by 31 May; the rules require player-dealer positions to be offered to players and prohibit blackjack-style games from using a target of 21.

Card rooms must revise game procedures and file compliance plans under the new state rules.
