Caixa draws Mega da Virada after delay, awarding R$1.09bn to six bets
Caixa Econômica Federal held the Mega da Virada draw on 1 January 2026 after postponing it from the previous evening because its systems could not process the volume of bets in time. The R$1.09 billion prize was shared by six winning bets; Caixa said about 112 million bets generated approximately R$3.053 billion in sales.
