Buenos Aires lottery institute requires biometric checks for online gambling

Buenos Aires province’s Institute of Lottery and Casinos has required licensed online gambling companies to introduce biometric identity checks, according to the report. The systems must use biometric data, liveness checks and facial recognition at registration and at other times set by regulation. Licensees have 60 days to implement the system, with extensions possible by a reasoned decision from the regulator.
