Carabinieri from the Brescia and Verolanuova companies have notified five people that preliminary investigations are concluded. The five are alleged to be responsible, in various capacities, for robbery, theft and receiving stolen goods. The alleged offences took place between July 2024 and July 2025 in Brescia and in several municipalities in the province of Brescia.
The investigation centred on two robberies at a slot hall in Brescia, with a combined haul above €90,000. Investigators allege that one of the suspects is an employee of the business, who is said to have acted as a lookout, providing logistical details and information to help plan the robberies.
The carabinieri investigation also covered a series of thefts in provincial municipalities. In Rezzato, a bar was broken into by forcing the entrance door to take cash and tobacco. In Bagnolo Mella, copper electrical cables were stolen from a local company and there was an attempted car theft. In Manerbio, scratchcards worth about €1,400 were taken from the bar and tobacconist at a service station.
Two episodes of receiving stolen goods complete the evidence against the five suspects. The group is alleged to have used vehicles and number plates of illicit origin for travel and to ensure escape after the offences.
