Brazilian Congress extends amendment deadline for betting ban to 13 October

Regulation

Brazil’s Congress extended the deadline for amendments to Provisional Measure 1,394/2026 to 13 October, the report said. The measure would prohibit fixed-odds betting, including its operation, offering, intermediation and advertising; 40 amendments had been submitted at the time of reporting. Congress is due to consider the measure by 23 November.

The amendment window gives stakeholders a short period to seek changes to a proposed nationwide fixed-odds betting ban.
