Brazilian authorities face report of illegal betting apps operating on iPhones
Unregistered betting platforms reportedly operated on iPhones and iPads in Brazil by disguising their apps, according to the report. One app redirected users to 1 Win, where sports bets and casino games were available; after questions about the app, Apple removed it from the App Store.
Disguised apps reportedly gave Brazilian users access to unregistered betting platforms, highlighting a route around the country’s registration system.
