Brazil’s SPA restricts betting access for debt-programme beneficiaries

Regulation

Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting issued rules restricting access to fixed-odds betting platforms for beneficiaries of debt-relief programmes, according to reports. The rules also set implementation and retrospective-check deadlines of 10 and 15 days after publication.

Operators must update account checks, suspend affected accounts and return funds under the new requirements.
