Brazil's SPA establishes SINAPO forum for lottery and betting coordination

Regulation

Brazil's Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA/MF) established the SINAPO Forum through Ordinance 227, dated 28 January 2026, to support dialogue between the federal government, states and the Federal District on lottery operations. The SPA/MF will coordinate the forum, which is advisory and non-binding; participating states and the Federal District may join after signing an accession agreement.

The forum provides a channel for regulators across Brazil to coordinate lottery oversight and share operational information.
