Brazil's SPA authorises existing withdrawal APIs for betting-balance refunds
Brazil's Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) authorised licensed fixed-odds betting operators to use existing withdrawal API integrations to return funds to customers, reportedly in a circular sent on 7 October. The source says refunds include available balances, unsettled bets and prizes from bets settled before platforms closed; payment institutions must complete transfers by 14 October. Operators must still report balances and amounts transferred.
The guidance sets out a permitted refund channel and preserves reporting duties for operators handling customer funds.
