Brazil’s AGU asks Supreme Court to clarify state lottery limits
Brazil’s Attorney General’s Office filed a motion asking the Supreme Federal Court to clarify whether its ruling on state lottery services covers fixed-odds betting. The AGU argues that the ruling did not address that betting type and, if the court considers it covered, seeks territorial controls including geolocation and access blocking.
The court’s clarification could affect the territorial scope of state-authorised lottery and betting activity.
