Brazil’s Agriculture Ministry revokes Goiás Jockey Club patent

Enforcement & compliance

Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock revoked the Carta Patente held by Jockey Clube de Goiás, barring it from holding horse races with betting nationwide. The decision was signed on 26 March 2026 and published in the Official Gazette on 15 May. The ministry cited audit findings including the absence of a formally constituted executive board and an inactive tax registration; the club had filed an administrative appeal.

The revocation prevents the club from conducting betting-linked horse racing and signals unresolved compliance issues for its operations.
