Brazil finance ministry prepares betting rules on play and withdrawal features

Regulation

Brazil’s federal government plans to publish an ordinance on online betting early next week, after the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting defined its contents and the Finance Ministry completes technical approval. The proposed rules include a five-second gap between plays and bans on autoplay, on-screen timers, celebratory sounds, pre-selected deposit amounts and features that obstruct withdrawals.

Operators would need to change platform features and withdrawal practices under the proposed rules.
