Brazil collects BRL10bn in gambling tax in regulated market’s first year
Brazil collected close to BRL10bn in tax revenue from the licensed betting sector in 2025, according to the Federal Revenue Service. The service said the figure had risen from BRL91m and reflected the launch of the regulated market.
The reported tax receipts quantify public revenue from Brazil’s first year of regulated betting operations.
