Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service reported that online betting companies paid about R$5.8bn in taxes between January and May 2026. The total was 85% above the R$3.1bn collected in the same period a year earlier; May receipts were R$1.3bn, down from R$1.4bn in May 2025.

The Canary Islands collected approximately €31.2m in gambling taxes between January and June 2026, reportedly reaching about 48.5% of its €64.6m annual target. Recreational machines generated revenue more slowly than expected, while bingo recorded modest year-on-year growth in ticket sales; the regional budget analysis indicated no planned gambling tax increases for 2027.
