Botswana Gambling Authority projects GGR above P1bn by March 2026

Regulation

Botswana’s Gambling Authority projected that the country’s gross gambling revenue would exceed P1 billion by March 2026, Acting Chief Executive Moruntshi Kemorwale said at a 15 January briefing in Gaborone. The Authority said revenue had already passed P700 million by December 2025 and projected active bettors would top 700,000.

The projection gives operators and regulators an indication of Botswana’s reported market growth and participation.
