Betsson posts record EUR116.1m Latin America revenue in Q3 2026

Deals & M&A · SectorWire deskSource published 2 min read

Betsson reported record revenue of EUR116.1m in Latin America in Q3 2026, an increase of 51.8% year on year, according to figures. The region accounted for about 36% of group revenue, which reached EUR326.5m for the quarter, up 10% year on year.

Growth in the region was led by Argentina, Peru and Colombia. Betsson highlighted customer activity and revenue growth in Peru and Argentina, linked in part to marketing carried out during the FIFA World Cup. The Q3 figure follows a record EUR112.1m in Latin America in Q2 2026, when revenue rose 32.3% year on year and Argentina, Peru and Colombia each recorded quarterly highs.

Group operating profit fell 31% to EUR46.1m and net profit fell 44% to EUR28.2m. Betsson attributed the margin pressure to higher service costs, including gambling taxes and payment processing expenses, as well as increased marketing and staff costs.

Casino was the main product driver in the quarter, with revenue of EUR253.5m, up 14%, while sports betting revenue rose 1% to EUR71.8m.

Chief executive Pontus Lindwall said the revenue record came despite a lower sports betting margin. "Este desempeño demuestra la fortaleza de nuestro modelo de negocio diversificado", he said, referring to the group's geographic presence and its casino and sports betting offering.

The Latin American outlook is also affected by the suspension of Brazil's regulated market. Following Medida Provisoria 1.394/2026, issued by the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on 25 September, Betsson's subsidiary stopped accepting new registrations and deposits and halted advertising and sponsorships in the country. Betsson said it had allocated "pequeñas cantidades de dinero" to Brazil, so the immediate financial impact would be limited, but warned that uncertainty over long-term consequences persists as regulated market authorisations approach expiry.

For the first nine months of 2026, Betsson reported revenue of EUR922.1m, up 3% year on year, while net profit fell 43% to EUR84.1m.
