Beekdaelen council plans to bar new casinos and amusement arcades

Regulation

Beekdaelen’s council plans to prohibit new casinos and amusement arcades in the Dutch municipality, with a final decision and amendment to the environmental plan due at its 16 December meeting. The council says the venues do not fit the municipality; its preparatory decision follows the closure of the last arcade in 2024.

The planned zoning change would prevent new land-based casino and arcade venues in Beekdaelen.
