Armenian parliament approves online gambling restrictions for 2027

Regulation

Armenia’s National Assembly approved new online gambling restrictions at a second and final reading, reportedly, with the law due to take effect on 1 January 2027. It requires operators and government agencies to block specified groups from online casinos, caps other users’ online betting spending at 20% of annual income and mandates a self-exclusion button linked across permit-holding platforms. Foreign platforms that do not comply will face blocking orders.

Operators serving Armenia will need to enforce eligibility checks, spending limits and cross-platform self-exclusion controls.
