Arizona sportsbooks accepted a record $967.1m in bets in October, reportedly up 22% and the first time the monthly total exceeded $900m.

Eilers & Krejcik Gaming projects that sportsbooks will handle $31.7bn of NFL betting in the 2026-27 season, compared with $8.4bn for prediction markets. The analysis estimates total betting at $40.5bn and forecasts 8% year-on-year growth, while warning that prediction markets could capture a larger share depending on their advertising activity.
New York sportsbooks accepted $595m in bets during the first seven days of the NFL season, the report said, citing figures released by the New York State Gaming Commission. The handle was 13% higher than in the comparable 2025 week, while net winnings fell 44% to $17m. The commission data marks the highest opening-week handle since online sports betting began in the state in January 2022.
Sportsbooks in about 20 US states reported $6.8bn in wagers and $468.4m in revenue for June, according to the figures cited in the report. New Jersey's attorney general's office attributed revenue declines to player winnings on NBA Finals and FIFA World Cup games; Connecticut's sports betting revenue fell 57.46% year on year.
Indiana sportsbooks took $428.2m in wagers in May, reportedly down 1% year on year.
Virginia sportsbooks recorded $613.9 million in wagers in April, up 0.6% year on year, reportedly. The available report provides no further figures on gross winnings.
