Licences & markets

Arizona’s Department of Gaming said it will begin accepting applications for 10 limited sports betting licences on 13 August. Applications, made with a racetrack or another facility, will be accepted for about two weeks; applicants must pay $1,000, selected operators $10,000 initially and $5,000 annually. The department said applicants would undergo a consumer-protection-focused assessment.

Operators must meet the application window and fee requirements to seek one of the 10 licences.
