Apple restricts Brazilian App Store gambling apps to licensed operators

Regulation

Apple’s Brazilian App Store will allow gambling platforms only from operators holding a fixed-odds wagering licence from Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA), according to the reported policy update. Operators must submit licence information through App Store Connect, and apps disclosing fixed-odds wagering will receive an 18+ rating. The change comes amid scrutiny of the regulated betting sector.

Operators seeking App Store distribution in Brazil must meet SPA licensing and app-submission requirements.
