ANJL opposes proposed 15% CIDE-Bets charge in Brazil

Regulation

The National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) said a proposed 15% CIDE-Bets charge could undermine licensed betting companies in Brazil. The association cited an existing sector tax burden of nearly 48% and warned that smaller operators could close; the measure remains part of the proposed Anti-Faction Bill.

The proposal could increase the tax burden on licensed operators and affect smaller businesses.
