ANJ warns prediction markets constitute unauthorised gambling in France
France’s ANJ warned on 24 February that services allowing bets on political, geopolitical or sporting outcomes without a French licence constitute unauthorised gambling. The regulator said major prediction-market operators had introduced geo-blocking at its request, although users could bypass the restrictions with VPNs.
