Andalusia's administration carried out 432 inspections of gambling halls across the region in 2025, according to a media report. It resolved 72 related case files; the region had 961 halls by the end of 2025, compared with 960 in 2024.

A Quaest poll found that 16% of respondents who were optimistic about Brazil's future cited regulation of betting and social media as a source of hope under President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. That group represented 44% of respondents, making the combined issue about 7% of the full sample; the poll did not separate betting from social-media regulation.
