Andalucía publishes Mijas gaming training centre agreement

Regulation · SectorWire deskSource published 1 min read

Andalucía's official gazette, the Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Andalucía (BOJA), published on 21 October 2026 a resolution dated 15 October covering the agreement for the operation of the Centro Andaluz de Formación Integral de las Industrias del Ocio in Mijas, Málaga. The publication does not constitute a new agreement; it gives publicity to a convenio signed on 17 August and published in the BOE on 28 August.

The agreement was signed between Spain's Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports and the Junta de Andalucía. It guarantees the centre's continuity as a National Reference Centre in the areas of accommodation, catering and gambling. The ministry will fund national-level actions included in the annual plans, while the Junta de Andalucía will assume staff costs and ordinary running costs. The convenio runs for four years and is renewable for a further four.

InfoPlay reported the agreement on 31 August, noting the recognition of gambling training within the state network of National Reference Centres. The source gives no appeal status, company statement or further deadline.
