Alberta plans enforcement against unlicensed gambling sites after 13 October

Enforcement & compliance

Alberta plans to act against online gambling operators that continue serving the province without a licence after the 13 October transition deadline, Service Alberta minister Dale Nally said. He said the province may consider cease-and-desist letters and measures targeting payment processors, but did not specify which steps it would take.

Operators that miss the transition deadline may face enforcement or have to leave Alberta.
