AGSI urges Italian Senate to approve bill on banking access for gambling firms
AGSI president Pasquale Chiacchio urged Italy’s Senate Finance and Treasury Commission to approve Bill 1595, which concerns current-account access. He said banks close accounts and deny credit to state-authorised gambling businesses, and sometimes prevent their employees from opening accounts. Chiacchio said a petition launched at Enada Rimini 2025 gathered more than 5,000 signatures.
The bill could affect gambling businesses’ access to banking services and credit in Italy.
