AGIC urges Italy to complete land-based gambling reform
AGIC called on Italy to approve the proposed reorganisation of land-based gambling, saying it would complete the reform programme and support action against illegal gambling. The association cited more than €30bn in estimated illegal-market turnover and reported tax-revenue declines of about €250m in 2025 and €101m in the first quarter of 2026.
The proposed rules would set conditions for renewing land-based gambling concessions, affecting operators preparing for future tenders.
