Italy's communications regulator Agcom has opened a public consultation on proposed amendments to its guidelines on the gambling advertising ban under the Dignity Decree. The consultation is addressed to operators and other interested parties in the sector, which are invited to submit assessments and proposals for the new rules.
Participants have 30 days from the date the resolution is published on the authority's official portal to submit their contributions. Contributions must be sent exclusively by certified email (PEC).
Respondents may also request a hearing to present their positions directly to the Direzione Servizi Media e tutela dei diritti fondamentali. The request must be sent by PEC, with an advance copy by ordinary email, and must arrive at least 10 days before the end of the 30-day consultation period. The request must name a contact person and give a telephone number and an email address. Agcom will set out how the meeting will be held in the formal convocation notice and reserves the right to hold the hearing remotely or collectively.
Contributions will be published in full and non-anonymously on the Agcom website. Specific protections are provided for sensitive or commercial data; without suitable and precise justification, submitted documents will be treated as fully accessible and publishable.
