AGCO summarises non-regulatory feedback on Ontario horse racing

Ontario’s AGCO published industry feedback from its horse racing reform engagement that fell outside the regulator’s mandate. Participants raised concerns about equine health research and called for more predictable annual research funding; the summary identifies Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and Ontario Racing among organisations relevant to the feedback.
The feedback may inform how Ontario’s racing organisations and government bodies address research and horse welfare outside AGCO’s remit.
