ADM official says cashless VLT payments could reduce money-laundering risks
ADM gaming director Elisabetta Poso said at a Rome event that Italy’s videolottery terminals carry risks linked to cash deposits, ticket redemptions and anonymity. She said guidance issued in 2024 set out indicators of possible anomalies by game type, and discussed named accounts and loyalty cards as alternative VLT payment methods.
Operators may need to assess payment and redemption methods as part of their risk monitoring for VLTs.
