ACMA prioritises gambling advertising reforms in 2026–27 compliance programme
Australia’s ACMA named implementation of proposed gambling advertising reforms as a compliance and enforcement priority for 2026–27. The regulator said it would issue guidance and investigate failures to meet new requirements if Parliament enacts the reforms. The proposals include restrictions on gambling advertising during live sport and tighter controls across television, radio and online platforms.
Operators, broadcasters and online content providers may face investigations if they fail to comply with enacted advertising restrictions.
