ABRAJOGO vice-president criticises Brazil betting ban's impact
ABRAJOGO vice-president Ana Bárbara Costa Teixeira said Brazil’s provisional measure banning online betting had damaged investor confidence and hindered efforts against illegal platforms. She said the suspension interrupted cooperation that had helped remove about 60,000 illegal websites, a figure attributed to the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting as of August.
Her comments point to disruption of regulated operators’ role in efforts against illegal betting platforms.
