1spin4win says seasonal slots recoup development costs within a month

1spin4win's seasonal slots are redesigned versions of established games rather than new builds, Olga Hlukhouskaya, the supplier's business development director, told Royal Partners. She said the company updates symbols, backgrounds and animations for each seasonal release, and that a seasonal slot can recover its development costs within a month during peak festive periods.

Hlukhouskaya said 1spin4win prepares seasonal games well in advance and aims to have titles ready at least a month before official release, partly because some clients offer pre-releases several weeks ahead. She said the idea for the Halloween title was discussed in the first half of 2026, and that the company's Christmas and New Year games were in their final stage at the time of the interview.

The portfolio includes five Halloween-themed games, including Golden Joker Halloween, released on 22 October. Hlukhouskaya said interest in seasonal slots falls outside the season but turnover rises again when the holiday recurs the following year, and that previous Halloween titles record increased activity during each festive period.

She said some St Patrick's Day slots remain popular throughout the year, which she attributed to players not associating those games as closely with the holiday. Asked about Halloween's relevance outside Western markets, she cited Mexico's Día de Muertos as an example of similar themes resonating with audiences in other regions.

Hlukhouskaya said festive themes can draw attention but that mechanics and gameplay sustain player interest, and that seasonal slots also serve to introduce new players to a supplier's wider portfolio. Royal Partners said its project data show strong player interest in horror-themed slots, which it said creates acquisition and retention opportunities for operators and affiliates.
