Mauritania reviews draft law to ban gambling and electronic betting

Reportedly, Mauritania's government has reviewed draft legislation that would prohibit gambling and electronic betting, including services offered through digital platforms. Prime Minister El Moctar Ould Djay led an initial review on 1 October, and a second meeting was held under youth, employment, sports and civil service minister Mohamed Abdallah Ould Louli. The proposal remains under review, with further work expected on legal and technical issues before a fuller version is produced.
