Tennisi chief opposes fines for Russian online casino users
Tennisi head Ruslan Suleimanov opposed a proposal to fine Russian residents who use online casinos, saying authorities should target illegal gambling organisers instead. Lawyer and political activist Ivan Kurbakov has urged lawmakers to allow courts to issue warnings or fines to users, potentially alongside blocking related financial transactions. A senator has separately proposed raising the maximum fine for online casino operators to 3 million rubles.
