Blockchain.com announced it has applied to the CFTC for Futures Commission Merchant and Designated Contract Market licences in the US. The company said the applications are a step towards bringing prediction markets and regulated trading to US users; it manages perpetual futures and event contracts for international clients. Separately, an IPO valued at $4 billion to $6 billion, with a reported $500 million raise, is reportedly in preparation.
