Zurich police uncover illegal poker operation in Opfikon and seize about CHF15,000

Enforcement & compliance

Zurich cantonal police inspected a venue in Opfikon on the evening of 28 October on behalf of the Federal Gaming Board, according to the report. Officers found about 60 people playing poker and seized about CHF15,000 in cash, along with poker tables, chips, electronic devices and documents. Authorities identified breaches of gaming and other laws, and will refer the findings to the board and relevant authorities.

Seizures and referrals show operators that suspected gaming-law breaches can trigger enforcement and further review.
