Zimbabwe Parliament proposes doubling regulated operators’ gambling tax to 4%

Regulation

Zimbabwe’s Parliament proposed increasing the tax on regulated gambling operators from 2% to 4%, with the revenue intended to support public projects, according to the report. The report says the proposal follows a tax reform effective from January 2026 that raised the operator rate from 3% to 20% and the tax on bettors’ winnings from 10% to 25%.

If adopted, the proposal would add a further tax increase for regulated gambling operators.
