Yunnan and Hunan police report arrests in illegal gambling raids

Police in Yunnan’s Huize County said they arrested 12 suspected gamblers at a gambling den and seized about $900 in cash; the report says courts later found all 12 guilty. In Anning, police said they confiscated more than $2,800 and charged 11 people, while Loudi police reported 45 arrests and the seizure of 20 gambling devices in four locations. Hunan officials also said a summer campaign had dismantled seven dens and led to more than 60 arrests.
