York State Fair plans skill-game machines during temporary court stay

Regulation

York State Fair organisers plan to offer skill-game machines for cash prizes when the event opens on 24 July 2026, reportedly. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled in June that the games constitute illegal gambling under state law, but allowed a temporary stay through 27 October 2026.

The stay sets the period in which Pennsylvania venues, including the fair, may host machines despite the court ruling.
