Wynn agrees to $130m federal deal over casino money laundering

Enforcement & compliance

Wynn agreed to a federal non-prosecution deal that required it to pay $130m, reportedly following a case involving cash transfers through Las Vegas casinos. State regulators also fined the company $5.5m; Wynn said it cooperated, dismissed employees involved and strengthened its compliance programmes.

The federal deal and state penalty show the financial and compliance exposure casinos may face over money-laundering activity.
