Washington attorney general sues Playtika and Aristocrat over gambling apps
Washington Attorney General Nick Brown sued Playtika and Aristocrat in federal court on 3 February, alleging their casino-style apps offer unlicensed gambling in the state. The complaint says the apps generated more than $225 million from Washington residents since September 2020 and asks the court to halt their activity and order repayment of residents’ losses.
The case could determine whether the companies can continue offering the apps to Washington residents.
