Italy’s State Police inspected six businesses in Viterbo over the weekend, including three gaming and betting venues, to check their operating authorisations. The inspections formed part of heightened checks ordered by the police commissioner and coordinated with the prefect’s measures.

Police and municipal officers in Siracusa fined three betting shops a total of €7,494 after inspections, reportedly. The breaches included operating without a betting licence, unauthorised food and drink service, advertising and management violations. Authorities said inspections would continue in the coming weeks.
Police and the Guardia di Finanza in Brescia province found three irregular gaming machines in Lumezzane, according to reports. Authorities recorded three violations at one business involving the installation and use of machines for accepting wagers.
Macao’s Public Security Police, Municipal Affairs Bureau and Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau inspected 23 gaming venues on 7 August to regulate their activity and combat illegal gambling. Authorities checked 31 people and reported no violations; 25 officials took part in the operation.

São Paulo Civil Police arrested three suspects in an investigation into alleged illegal betting and fraudulent online games during Operation Disque 151 on 13 October. A court authorised the blocking of up to R$154m in assets and funds; investigators said the group moved more than R$14m over six months and estimated that about 10 million people may have been affected.
