US court sentences California man to 27 months for illegal gambling operation
A federal court sentenced Jason Noah Feinman to 27 months in prison for operating an illegal gambling business, money laundering and tax evasion, according to the US Department of Justice. Prosecutors said he evaded tax on about $4.2 million in income from 2018 to 2022 and had pleaded guilty to the three offences.
The sentence and tax-evasion case show enforcement risks for people operating illegal gambling businesses.
