UK government proposes consultation on unlicensed gambling sponsorships

Regulation

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said the proposal aims to stop unlicensed operators gaining exposure through clubs; the government said current club promotions do not breach existing rules.

The proposed rules could affect clubs’ sponsorship arrangements and unlicensed operators’ visibility in UK sport.
